It is with sadness and heartfelt multi-layered emotion that we write here to inform you of the closure and sale of Alma de la Rosa last Friday. After 101/2 years in Old Pasadena and Napa Valley, fully embracing all things sustainable, organic and done “the hard, honest way”…it was time to say farewell.
We wish that we could have had a proper party and final “thank yous” to all of you…but circumstances dictated otherwise. Alternatively, we would love to embrace that notion in person at Bistro 45, anytime
you come in through the end of November 2017.
For all of you who have supported us so lovingly at Alma and a/k/a over the years — a complimentary glass of bubbly on arrival and a chocolate soup to share on us. You are the reason we do what we do. You are, and have always been the true sustainability for all of us here.
***And a most special statement of thanks to all of our Alma staff: Max, Avery, Jason, Sarah, Sergio, Benito, Alonso, Noelle, Lorena, Rachel, Siobhan and Max Simon — you made it all special and memorable.
And as for Chef James, he is now working side by side with Chef Charlie and all of the Bistro 45 kitchen crew to reach for an ever higher level…please watch for the a/k/a and Alma reprise roustabout feast in January 2018!!

(Yes, this is the same Joey Wagner who last year successfully sold his Meiomi Pinot Noir brand and is now off and running again toward even greater heights with these new wines.
